An Open Letter to my Baby Boy

An Open Letter to my Baby BoyDear Baby Boy,

I cannot believe that in a few short weeks, I will be holding you in my arms. My life completely changed the day I found out I was expecting. I know once you arrive, my life will be forever changed, but in a good way. I never thought I would become a mom, but God has blessed me with the beautiful gift of you!

The first time I heard your heartbeat, it immediately brought tears to my eyes. I love hearing your heartbeat and seeing you at sonogram appointments. It is amazing how much you have grown from the first ultrasound at 18 weeks, until now. I can only imagine what you are going to look like on your birthday. Will you look more like me or your daddy? Only time will tell.

I don’t think all of the classes that your daddy and I have taken can truly prepare us for parenthood, but I hope we are ready. We just want to be the best parents we can be to you. We will always be here to take care of you when you are sick, protect you when you are afraid, and will never stop loving you. It is amazing how much we already love you and we haven’t even laid eyes on you. I know that once you are born, our love will continue to grow each and every day.

Baby Boy words cannot express how much love I have for you and cannot wait to hold you in my arms. These last couple of weeks will bring excitement, anxiousness, and nervousness as your birthday approaches. You are going to be so loved by not only me and your daddy, but many other family members, as well. I cannot wait for you to meet everyone.

I love you so much,

The Rookie Mom (in waiting)

No amount of classes can provide you and daddy whty you both already posses in yourselves and your families. Love, compassion, honor, dignity. Baby boy is so lucky to have the both of you as parents and the extended family you will provide him. They say it takes a village, well sweetheart if a quarter of the children have the same type of village baby boy will be surrounded by the world will be a better place.
