Why are husbands such babies?!?!
What is it with husbands or men in general?
As I stated before, I am a stay at home / work from home mommy to my 15 month old. My daughter is currently cutting three teeth, so she is a real joy to be around these days!
On top of that, she had 3 shots a few days ago and has a cold. I know, poor baby…. NO, poor mommy! She has kept me up all night with her sudden outburst of crying in her sleep, and she also kindly gave me her cold. I feel horrid, but keep moving along.
Guess who else got my daughter’s cold? My husband!
I was so pissed when I found out he was getting sick, because I knew what that meant! I now have two whiny babies to care for.
Why is it that when we are both sick, he gets to lay on the couch and moan, while I am cooking, cleaning, and taking care of the other sick baby in the house? This is something I have noticed happens with a lot of husbands.
They just seem to think that they are allowed to be total couch potatoes, do absolutely nothing and be waited on hand and foot. We are often sick too guys! And taking care of sick kids! UGH!
I have found if I take the following steps it seems to help:
- Force those zinc, vitamin C, and other vitamin that he always refuses down his throat! You know men for some unknown reason cannot stand taking a pill. These always help my husband…Cold-EEZE
- Make him better by making him eat what I eat, ie. Chicken noodle soup. The carrots, onions and celery are actually super good for you when you have a cold. Also, who hasn’t had soup when their sick and thought that is sooo much better!
- Not let him be disgusting! Force the shower, make him blow his damn nose, not sniff, and change his clothes when he normally would. Get rid of the germs as much as possible.
If he can’t do these three things then I am just done with him.
I think I may start a new rule in our house. If the kids are sick I will take care of them, but if my husband gets sick he has to stay in a hotel!
Yep, that is happening!
